HOW TO APPLY

Studying towards a PhD in Education

Residential Assistant, Graduate House

Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, Eurica had previously completed studies in sociology, communication, and public administration for the non-profit sector from the University of Colorado, Denver. Having a continued interest in non-profits, and hoping to have a career as a non-profit advisor, has led to her study a PhD in Education at UC.

Eurica鈥檚 research looks into the influence New 蜜桃儿直播鈥檚 international development organisations have on Nepal鈥檚 education development, and explores the educational aid relationship between the two countries.

"I have always been inspired by the combination of development studies and education,鈥 she says. 鈥楥ombining both in my PhD was the best way to learn more about it."

UC was her university of choice due to finding a supervisor that was particularly interested in her research topic.

"Most of the University staff and particularly my supervisors are helpful and friendly. If you are passionate about bringing change in education and development studies, then go for it!"

One great way Eurica gets involved with the community at UC is as a Residential Assistant (RA) for Graduate House. As her first choice of accommodation due to its close proximity to UC鈥檚 campus, Eurica鈥檚 role directly helps other students settle into life at UC, with social support and hall events.

"Graduate House provides an opportunity to stay focused on your work, and make friends,鈥 she says. 鈥業 love the community! I provide pastoral care to the residents and help them achieve their academic goals."
