Bachelor of Māori Innovation
Introduction
The Bachelor of Māori Innovation (BMINN) was created for the next generation of graduates who want to evolve our nation and future thinking through both Western and Indigenous worldviews.
This degree is a great opportunity for those working in the iwi sector to better recognise and help promote Māori aspirations in all developmental sectors for Aotearoa — policy, health, environment, social equity, technology, and more.

How do I plan my degree?
The Bachelor of Māori Innovation is made up of a total 360 points:
- 195 points of compulsory courses
- 165 points of major courses.
The degree takes 3 years of full-time study, or can be studied part-time for up to 10 years.

The BMINN features compulsory courses that give you foundational skills in technology, analysis, finding and implementing solutions, and using mātauranga Māori in contemporary situations.
You will also choose a major to study throughout the degree.
