This Postgraduate Diploma is ideal for graduates wishing to undertake advanced study in a humanities or social science specialisation.
A graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts will have an advanced level of knowledge in one discipline or area of specialisation cultivated over a full year of study or equivalent. During this time they will have developed such skills as:
Applicants must have qualified for a Bachelor of Arts, or an equivalent degree, and satisfied the prerequisites for the subject concerned. Prerequisites vary between departments, but normally good grades in 300-level courses in that subject are required.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.

The Diploma will take 1 year full-time study, or can also be studied part-time within 2 years.

The Diploma requires 120 points at 400-level in one of the following subjects.
Note: you may substitute or for 30 points in the Certificate, subject to approval. Relevance of the internship or project to the course of study will be assessed.

Postgraduate Diploma in Arts graduates are well positioned to continue their studies. UC offers a Master of Arts, and a research-based Master of Arts (Thesis) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in your chosen subject.
